Come As You Are Part 12

WELCOME BACK,

I can’t believe this year is half over already, and it’s that time of year that most of us will be celebrating

America’s birthday this week. I like this time of year and taking moments to reflect on America’s history

and how much our military families have sacrificed for this country. I also like to remind myself of how

much God has blessed this country not to mention my own life directly. So many of us tend to forget

so quickly all that God has done.

Summer is one of my favorite times of year. Enjoying the beauty of nature as well as making a lot of

memories with family and friends. Enjoying all the time I can getting a little sun, fun and relaxation. It’s

also a great time to reflect on my life; the past, present and future. Remembering how far I have come,

where I am currently at in my life, and where I may be going next in the future. All this with God’s help

and guidance. Have I always been on the right path? No, but I want to strive to always be right where

God wants me to be doing his will. Have I ever failed God? Of course, but I ask God to forgive me and

help me get back on track.

Jeremiah 29: 11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to

harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call on me and come and pray to me,

and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.*

As you and I continue to enjoy summertime, may we remember to stay in God’s presence and guidance

doing his will each day. May we also always remember all the many blessings in our lives, not only as

Christians but also as Americans counting those blessings one by one.

Happy 4 th of July… until next month,

Dana P
