Come As You Are Part 5

December 2018 / Blog #5

Welcome back and Merry Christmas!!!

If you’re like me, its hard to believe we are in the mist of the holidays. Before we now it, we will all be bringing in the new year. Hopefully, you and I both can slow down long enough to enjoy the time we have together with family and friends. It’s hard to believe, but this year seems to have passed by so quickly. Life seems to pass by so quickly. I find myself reflecting back wondering have I done enough. Have I done enough for Christ? I pray that I have; hoping that I have not missed any opportunities that God may have set before me. Like most of you, I have had a lot going on in my life, and honestly, I feel that I have let God down in some areas of my life. Do you ever feel that way? We get caught up in situations, and sometimes we tend to focus more on the problem and less on God. I think we may all be guilty of that at some point in our lives. No matter if you have problems that may be from making a bad decision or have had a situation happen that is out of your control, remember God loves you and will never forsake you. God is always there to love and fight for us. God loves us no matter what and will forgive us when needed. May we all learn to forgive ourselves and allow ourselves to begin again.

It’s important to pray for God’s guidance and wisdom. We can’t always change certain things in life; but prayer does change things. Through prayer, God may change the situation or He may possibly make a change within us to handle a situation differently. No matter what may happen in our life, remember God is there to lead, guide, and direct. He will never let us down. I take great comfort in knowing that no matter what I may do or how many times I may fail, God is always there with open arms. God still loves you and I despite any circumstance; so, whatever you may find yourself going through today or in the days ahead, just remember who you are in Christ. As you continue to prepare for this holiday season, remember that we are truly blessed, and that Jesus is indeed the Reason for the Season. The gift of salvation through Christ Jesus is definitely the Best Gift of All.

Luke2:11 “For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord.”

As we wind down this year and prepare for the new year ahead, let us all remember to love and forgive ourselves so that we can show forth that love and forgiveness to others as God showed forth to us. Never forgetting that we are the children of the Most High God. Immanuel -- God with us.I pray that you and your family continue to be blessed and Have a Very Merry Christmas!

Until next month,

Dana P.
